Meet the Band

When singer-songwriter Brandon Nathaniel began writing songs inspired by his life and through organic recruitment, lead guitarist Luis Aguirre and Bass player Jim Morris came on board and what were a half dozen songs being worked on. Together they became Beshook and began sharing their talents at local Houston venues. 

An avid songwriter, Brandon has spent two+ decades crafting his talents and style. Having started as a youngster on classical piano at the age of 5, he assumed the acoustic and electric guitar in his teenage years and songwriting was where he found his forte within his musicianship. He took an 8+ year hiatus from performing and resumed solo work in 2018 and then in 2023 began participating in local open mics in Houston to regain the stage shortly before Beshook found all of its members. Brandon is a lively performer and a dedicated musician. 

Jim will state that while a native guitarist and sound engineer, he was not in fact a “bass player”. Jim was encouraged by his teammates and his dedication to learning the material, practicing his new craft and the overall energy that he brings to the stage begets no better fit. Jim will not be seen performing without wearing his traditional Scottish Kilt, an ode to his heritage and roots. Jim’s energy and smile translates to the audience, which prompts him to leave the stage to dance with the crowd during a live set.
